Maria Cecilia Camargo Magalhaes holds a Doctorate degree in Education by the Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. She has been working with theoretical-methodological issues in Teacher Education since 1990,mainly focusing on language and collaboration to critical thinking and development in intervention research. She is currently a professor at the Linguistic Department and at the Applied Linguistics and Language Studies Post-Graduation Program of the Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo,Brazil. Cecília has published a large number of papers on teacher education,reflective teaching and collaborative work in journals and books – so much so that Fidalgo and Shimoura recently organized a book on the development of her work on these topics since 1990: A trajectory in teacher education: Critical research of collaboration.
